Enumerators
Enumerators are responsible for collecting census information through door-to-door visits. They follow up with households that have not responded, collect data in person, and work evenings and weekends. The employment period for enumerators is from May 2026 to July 2026.
Crew Leaders
Crew leaders supervise and motivate a team of enumerators, work full-time hours, and are expected to be available for days, evenings, and weekends. The employment period for crew leaders is from March 2026 to July 2026.
Pay Rates for 2026 Census Jobs
The pay rates for enumerators are $25.87 per hour, while crew leaders earn $31.32 per hour. Both roles are eligible for authorized expenses including mileage and parking.
Work Schedule and Hours
