Northwest Territories Nominee Program

The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) is a territorial immigration program that can nominate eligible applicants for permanent residence. A nomination is not permanent residence by itself — after nomination, you still apply to IRCC and IRCC makes the final decision.

NTNP includes main pathways such as the Employer-Driven Stream, Francophone Stream, and Business Stream. Intake rules can change during the year, and the program may close intake when nomination caps are reached.

This category covers:
– Stream overviews and basic eligibility notes
– How the selection / intake process works (including EOI where used)
– Document basics and common mistakes to avoid
– Official notices and intake updates

Reality check: NTNP is capacity-based and competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an invitation, nomination, or PR approval. Always confirm the latest details on official NT sources and IRCC before making decisions.
