Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is Saskatchewan’s provincial immigration program. It can nominate some eligible applicants for permanent residence. A nomination is not permanent residence by itself — after nomination, you still apply to IRCC and IRCC makes the final decision.
SINP has main program areas such as:
– International Skilled Worker (includes Express Entry-linked options and other pathways)
– Saskatchewan Experience (for some people already working in Saskatchewan)
– Entrepreneur and Farm pathways (important note below)
Important reality check:
– SINP uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system for some pathways. An EOI is not an application. You may need an invitation before you can apply.
– Processing and intake rules can change during the year. Always check official SINP updates before planning.
– Effective March 27, 2025, Saskatchewan permanently closed all Entrepreneur and Farm immigration pathways (no new EOIs or applications). If you are researching these, use this category for reference only and check official notices.
Internal guidance (Canadianow):
– Work-in-Saskatchewan content → use “Saskatchewan Experience”
– Express Entry-linked SINP content → use “International Skilled Worker (EE)”
– Closed business/farm pathways → keep under “Entrepreneur and Farm Categories” as archived reference, and also link to “Archived / Closed Programs” when relevant
