The “Master’s Graduate” stream was announced as part of planned graduate changes under BC PNP Skills Immigration, but it has not been opened. B.C. stated that the launch of previously announced student streams would remain on hold.
BC’s official Skills Immigration Program Guide (effective December 4, 2025) does not list any Master’s Graduate stream—only Skilled Worker, Health Authority, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS).
So this page should be treated as a status update, not a “how to apply now” guide.
Is the Master’s Graduate stream open right now?
No. The current BC PNP Skills Immigration Program Guide (effective Dec 4, 2025) does not include Master’s Graduate as an available stream.
B.C.’s April 14, 2025 update also said the launch of previously announced student streams would remain on hold.
What BC PNP streams are active right now (worker streams)
BC’s official “For workers” page (updated Jan 22, 2026) lists only these Skills Immigration streams:
-
Skilled Worker (job offer in NOC TEER 0–3, plus experience requirements)
-
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS) (job offer in eligible TEER 4–5 occupations, plus 9 months consecutive work with the same employer before registering)
-
Health Authority (job offer from a B.C. health authority employer)
Internal guidance (keep it short on the page):
If you were preparing for the Master’s Graduate stream, the practical next step is to check whether you qualify under Skilled Worker (or ELSS if your role is TEER 4–5).
What about Express Entry BC (EEBC)?
EEBC is an option in BC PNP (not a separate program). The current guide still explains how to use the Express Entry BC (EEBC) option if you meet IRCC Express Entry eligibility and have the required profile details.
This matters because some workers in Skilled Worker or Health Authority may be able to apply with the EEBC option if eligible.
Fees (updated for 2026)
BC PNP officially increased the Skills Immigration application fee from $1,475 to $1,750, effective January 22, 2026.
Current BC PNP worker fees:
-
Registration: no fee
-
Application: $1,750 CAD
-
Request for review: $500 CAD
What to remove from your old template
Delete these from “Required Documents” (they are not related to BC PNP):
-
Endorsement Certificate From an Atlantic Province (AIP only)
Also avoid writing fixed timelines like “6 months guaranteed.” BC priorities and invitations can change.
FAQ
When will the Master’s Graduate stream reopen?
B.C. has not provided a firm reopening date. The official update says student streams would remain on hold.
Can I register for Master’s Graduate today in BCPNP Online?
The current program guide does not list this stream as an available option.
What can I apply for instead as a Master’s graduate in B.C.?
Right now, BC PNP lists worker streams (Skilled Worker, ELSS, Health Authority). Which one fits depends mainly on your job offer and TEER level.
How much does it cost to apply to BC PNP Skills Immigration?
As of Jan 22, 2026: $1,750 application fee (registration is free).
Reality check
-
Treat “Master’s Graduate stream requirements” as historical / planned, not current rules. The stream is not listed in the active guide.
