Prince Edward Island (PEI) Express Entry Stream – 2025 Guide
The PEI Express Entry Stream is part of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). It is designed to help skilled foreign workers in the federal Express Entry pool get nominated by PEI for permanent residency. This stream is ideal for individuals who have skills aligned with the province’s labor market needs and are committed to living and working in PEI.
It provides a faster pathway to permanent residency through the federal Express Entry system and gives selected candidates a 600-point CRS boost.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the PEI Express Entry Stream, you must
1. Education
You must have completed post-secondary education (e.g., college diploma or university degree) relevant to your field of work
2. Work Experience
At least one year of full-time, continuous work experience in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) is required.
3. Language Skills
You must prove English or French proficiency with a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7.
4. Express Entry Profile
You must have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream.
5. Settlement Funds
You need to show sufficient funds to support yourself and your family, unless you’re already working in Canada.
6. Intention to Reside in PEI
You must clearly demonstrate your intention to live and work in Prince Edward Island.
How Does the Application Process Work?
The application process for the Atlantic Immigration Program is straightforward
1. Create an Express Entry Profile
Submit your profile to the federal Express Entry system and select PEI as a province of interest.
2. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to PEI
Register in PEI’s immigration portal and complete the EOI form.
3. Receive an Invitation to Apply from PEI
If selected, PEI will invite you to apply for provincial nomination.
4. Apply for Provincial Nomination
Submit supporting documents (ID, job offer if applicable, language test, ECA, etc.) to PEI’s Office of Immigration.
5. Get 600 CRS Points Added
Once nominated, your federal Express Entry profile gets 600 bonus points.
6. Receive ITA and Apply for PR
Submit your PR application through IRCC with all final documents.
