How to Read the Draws

  • Provincial Nominee Program draws have the highest cut-offs because a nomination adds 600 points. Without a nomination, these draws aren’t relevant to you.
  • Canadian Experience Class draws invite only candidates with at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience — see CEC requirements.
  • Category-based draws (French, healthcare, trades, physicians, senior managers, transport and others) invite only candidates who meet that category’s rules, often at much lower scores.
  • Tie-breaking: when several candidates have the cut-off score, IRCC invites those who created their profile earliest, up to the tie-breaking time it publishes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are Express Entry draws held?

There’s no fixed schedule. In 2026, IRCC has usually held several draws a month, often a PNP draw followed by a CEC draw and category-based draws.

Why is the CEC cut-off higher than category draws?

Category draws invite a smaller group of eligible candidates, so the cut-off can be lower. CEC draws compete across everyone with Canadian experience.

Is this data official?

Yes. The table is loaded from IRCC’s published rounds data. If IRCC’s file can’t be reached, the page shows a saved copy and says so above.
