New OINP Update: Ontario has recently conducted a significant multi-stream OINP invitation round, issuing a total of 1,133 invitations on December 10, 2025.
Five targeted draws were held under various categories focusing on 38 occupations under the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) pilot.
2 OINP Draws For Foreign Worker Stream
Healthcare & ECE Occupations (General Draw)
Ontario issued targeted invitations to candidates with job offers in high-demand healthcare roles or NOC 42202 (Early childhood educators and assistants).
- Number of invitations issued: 398
- Date profiles created: July 2, 2025 – December 10, 2025
- Score range: 49 and above
Eligible occupations included Nursing coordinators, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, midwives, allied health professionals, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, orderlies, patient service associates, and early childhood educators.
Physician occupations under NOC 31100, 31101, and 31102 were not invited.
REDI Pilot (Targeted Regional Draw)
Candidates residing in Canada with a job offer in Lambton, Lanark, or Leeds and Grenville were also invited.
Targeted occupations included professional occupations in advertising, marketing, public relations, accounting technicians, bookkeepers, administrative assistants, pharmacists, carpenters, heavy-duty equipment mechanics, electrical mechanics, agricultural service contractors, and farm supervisors.
2 OINP Draws For International Student Stream
Healthcare & ECE Occupations (General Draw)
Ontario issued targeted invitations to international students with job offers in healthcare and early childhood education.
- Number of invitations issued: 659
- Date profiles created: July 2, 2025 – December 10, 2025
- Score range: 73 and above
Eligible occupations included nursing coordinators, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, midwives, allied health professionals, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, orderlies, patient service associates, and early childhood educators.
Candidates with physician NOC codes 31100, 31101, and 31102 did not receive invitations.
REDI Pilot (Regional Draw)
International students with employer-submitted job offers in specific census divisions also received invitations.
Targeted occupations included various administrative services managers, financial analysts, accounting technicians, bookkeepers, administrative assistants, web designers, electrical engineering technologists, electronic service technicians, pharmacy technical assistants, machinists, carpenters, construction millwrights, automotive service technicians, roofers, food and beverage processing supervisors.
OINP Draw For In-Demand Skills Stream
REDI Pilot (Regional Draw Only)
The In-Demand Skills stream formed part of the invitations issued under REDI.
Targeted occupations included home support workers, material handlers, machine operators in mineral and metal processing, process control operators in food and beverage processing, electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors, labourers in food and beverage processing.
How Candidates Can Apply
Candidates invited on December 10 may now apply to the stream for which they received an invitation. Key timelines apply.
Applications appear under a newly created file number with the prefix JOXX. The older Expression of Interest file number will be greyed out and should be disregarded.
Ontario relies on targeted draws to fill labour shortages and is expected to maintain an employer-driven model throughout 2026.
The sustained demand for healthcare workers, early childhood educators, skilled trades professionals, and food processing workers across Ontario is evident in the December 10 draws.
